Labour Failed our Children

Labour vowed to put children at the heart of aims. But, 12 years on, Britain more to the point Wales is officially the worst country in the developed world for kids to grow in.
Major UNICEF study by the United Nations analysed wealth, health and safety, education, family relationship, risks and kids sense of happiness in 21 of the richest countries.
Britain ranked last in two of the six categories, next to last in another and near the bottom in two more. Britain's best rating was 12th out of 21. Britain were beaten again and again by far smaller and less prosperous nations. All three Labour candidates running for Rhodri's job are proud of this shamful Labour record. When Unionist people say that Wales is too small and not very prosperous to have more powers to the Welsh Assembly are wrong. The quicker Wales get more powers for the Welsh Assembly the better for the people of Wales.

Wayne David MP Cavalier attitude towards Public safety

I am very disturbed by Wayne David MP and Jeff Cuthbert cavalier attitude towards the safety of the old Bedwas contaminated coal colliery. Like all Labour policies Mr David strongly believe that it would be far better if the Council did not pursue their plans. Instead the contaminated soil should be left undisturbed and made safe. This kind of attitude was exercised by the then Labour group when they failed to act on a report, telling them to close all the dangerous playgrounds in the borough.
Well Mr. David and Mr. Cuthbert Plaid councilors don’t ignore problems or bury their heads in the sand especially when public safety is concern. The only way to deal with this disgusting problem is to remove it completely from site. Once the council has knowledge of the problem it is their public duty to remove it by law, can you imagine the insurance claims and criminal proceedings if this was not acted on.
You can tell we are coming closer to a general election when Wayne David has his job revue and is getting itchy feet with fear of losing his job. If you remember it was Wayne David and fellow Labour politicians that were against a waste recycling facility in Bedwas. Also can we really trust what this MP campaigns on and don’t forget him campaigned to save local post offices, while voting in Westminster with his Labour unionist friends to close them. Worse Wayne David was the whip who made sure Labour closure plans were voted for.

Three Reason to Vote Plaid Cymru

Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg have all been asked by Sir Thomas Legg, who is auditing MPs' expenses, to repay money or provide more information about potentially excessive claims.
Gordon Brown is to pay back more than £12,400 in parliamentary expenses
Mr Cameron, the Conservative leader, has been asked to hand over documentation clarifying why he needed to repay £218.96 that he claimed in interest on the mortgage on his constituency home in Oxfordshire.
Mr Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, has been asked to repay £910 of the £3,900 he claimed for gardening between July 2006 and March 2009.
I also believe those MP’s who flipped their house claims to avoid paying taxes should be criminally investigated.

Tetchy Brown makes hasty exit in TV interviews

The Prime Minister was touring the studios the day after his conference speech in Brighton in which he laid out a string of commitments that opponents dismissed as an uncosted shopping list.
Mr Brown was clearly angry at being repeatedly challenged over his leadership when he wanted to talk about policy. On two occasions, he got up to leave when the interviews were over but while the cameras were still rolling.
The most heated clash was with Sky News. Mr Brown’s impatience was clear as he was questioned over his refusal to confirm whether he would take part in a television debate with other party leaders in the run-up to the election. Downing Street believes that Sky News has become “obsessed” with the issue.
