Sooner Wales get more Law making powers

The recent letter by Cllr Ray Davies and his condemning of the Tories from the 1980’s. Then the letter by Tony Williams condemning the last Labour government. These letters show that both London parties have never considered Wales, from the under funding to job losses. The sooner Wales gets more law making powers the better.

Liberal no Better than Labour and Tories

The chief secretary to the Treasury and Liberal Democrat MP David Law is fighting for his political life after agreeing to pay back £40,000 in expenses he claimed to pay rent on a room in the home of his long-term partner. After using the election campaign to tell us that the Liberal party were whiter than white. I bet the all those Liberal candidates are wondering why I bothered to campaign for a two faced party. Siding with the Tories selling their Trident policy weren’t bad enough. Mr Law is not the only MP to use his way of life to con the electorate, just look at the Rhondda MP who flipped his second home twice in two years, allowing him to claim almost £20,000 for renovations and fees.

Should have voted Plaid !! Royal Mail privatisation resurrected by Vince Cable

Plans to privatise Royal Mail have been revived by the Lib Dem Business Secretary Vince Cable. Labour failed to push through the controversial sale last year after a 100-strong revolt by MPs. But the move is now expected to sail through the Commons because selling off Royal Mail is a core Lib Dem policy and the Conservatives also back privatisation plans.
Under the proposal just over half of Royal Mail's shares would be divided between the Government and staff, while 49% would be sold to private enterprise to create funds for investment. But unions last night warned a sale would mean job cuts and a poorer postal service.
Thanks to Labour voters we have a run down postal service and thanks to all those Liberal and Conservative voters we will lose our Postal Service.

Black Day for Wales

With the news that some Welsh and Scottish Labour MP backbenchers would rather a Tory government than do any kind of deal with Plaid Cymru or SNP. That attitude is not good for Wales, as their bad blood towards the nationalist are stronger than it is to Tory public spending cuts.
Wales will not forget Labour who could have formed a government but walk away and left this country to the mercy of Tory cuts. As Labour said if the Tories get in we would lose our free bus pass, free prescriptions, free hospital parking.Wales will also not forget the Lib Dem party who will agree with replacing Trident and will be part of the Tory plans for cutting public spending. The people of Wales voted the way Peter Hain wanted “vote Labour to keep the Tories out” and we still get a Tory government. Mr Hain fear tactics once again fooled the people of Wales; he knows it is voters in England who choose which government Wales has.

Sad news for the people of Blackwood

It was sad for the people of Blackwood that Kevin Etheridge was standing down as county councillor for Blackwood. I didn’t always agreed with his ideas and policies but I did acknowledge him as a very good councillor. I believe there was a personal witch-hunt by some members of Blackwood Labour party and I expect the main stone thrower will be standing in any future Blackwood bye-election. I hope that the people of Blackwood realise these facts when they cast their votes.

Peter Hain’s High Risk Tactics

Throughout this year’s general election campaign, the tactics of Peter Hain have been vote Labour to keep the Tories out. As it worked? Different politicians will say different things. Both Wales and Scotland kept faith with Labour while England voted for the Tories; Wales was so close in having another Tory Government even though we never voted for it in large numbers.
Lets look at Mr Hain’s tactics, it seem to have worked in Ynys Mon, Llanelli, Blaenau Gwent, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham (all saw a Tory rise and perhaps those might have gone to both Liberal and Plaid candidates). Where Plaid and the Liberals failed to win. The tactic failed in Cardiff North, Vale of Glamorgan and Aberconwy where people voted for a Tory win.Another factor was the leaders debate and the Nick Clegg factor helped in Ceredigion but failed in Montgomeryshire (down to the defending MP than party policy). This might be a simplistic view, as I earlier said the Tories will win the most seats but it will be Labour who will form the next government with the Liberals and deals with SNP and Plaid.

General election 2010: Brown worst prime minister ever – Labour candidate

A Labour candidate delivered a blow to the party's election campaign today, describing Gordon Brown as the worst prime minister the country has ever had. Manish Sood, the party's candidate for the safe Tory seat of Norfolk North West

Labour Watch

Mr Brown's closest ally Ed Balls and Welsh Secretary Peter Hain had broken ranks to suggest that Labour supporters should consider voting Liberal Democrat in Lib Dem-Tory marginal constituencies. Does he also mean Labour supporters voting Plaid Cymru in Aberconwy and carmarthen West constituencies.

Vote Plaid and Protect the Public Service From Cuts

By voting Plaid Cymru, you will have a party that will protect the public service workers from redundancy. So all you Labour members and Labour voting public service workers, remember it will be Plaid that will save your job and prevent you going on job seekers allowance and living on £64 week (like me).How I miss my job, at least I have got a good beam in the garage and a strong rope.

Vote Plaid and get a Hung Parliament

The only people predicting a financial Armageddon are the bankers and Tory party, if it turns out to be a hung parliament. If it wasn’t for those greedy banks and financial sector who played fast and hard with people money, we wouldn’t be in this trouble. The Tory party don’t want a hung parliament because even though they should win the most seats, it will not be enough to for a stable government. No other party would want to support them with the exception of UKIP, BNP and Ulster unionist party.
