1p Labour membership
A one penny membership deal for armed forces veterans is set to be introduced by the Labour party, it has emerged. Former soldiers, pilots and sailors could be offered the cut-price joining fee during an advertising campaign blitz later this year. Labour officials insisted the plans were still at the "ideas" stage and had not been signed off by the party. I feel sorry for the thousands of low paid public sector workers who are still expected to pay their full membership. While their union bottle feed the Labour party with donations.
