Wales "Faces deepest NHS Cuts"

Wales will be hit by bigger NHS cuts than the rest of the UK, The NHS in Wales is set for budget cuts of nearly 11%, while England escapes the worst cuts. This problem is due to the fact in 12 years Labour in London failed to change the out of date Barnett Fornuls and give Wales a fairer funding system. Even to this day Labour MP's ignorned professional advice (not the first time) and stuck with party policy to help Scotland. While Wales have been underfunded by £300m a year, this money would have been set up long before these cuts would have been made. So where is Labour standing up for Wales?

Carwyn Jones hails Welsh "Energy Decade" like Covanta incinerator for Merthyr

Wales has to move to a green economy as fast as possible, says Labour First Minister Carwyn Jones. The next 10 years must be "Wales energy decade", he told a conference. I wonder if Mr Jones supports the planned Covanta incinerator between Merthyr and Fochriw. This development seems to be what Mr Jones was talking about. It would burn our 750,000-tonne of waste every year and produce enough energy to power every home in Merthyr and provide local jobs. It would reduce the carbon foot print of many councils from Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent to Swansea and beyond.

Ieuan Wyn Jones to stay for the Next 5 Years

I want Ieuan to stay for the next five years or until I get elected as the next Caerphilly AM. If there is a by-election within the five years, then Ieuan can go. Just keep the position warm for me.

Prescott "Bully Boy"

Having watched John Prescott on ITV Piers Morgan show, confirmed to me that like most Labour politicians Mr Prescott is just a loud mouth bully boy. Their arguments are not based on facts but lies and who can shout the loudest. During his time in government he turned his back on Labour values and policies, to be electable within middle England voters.

Alun Davies AM keeping post warm for Kirsty Williams AM

Remember the 2008 debate in the Senedd on TB eradication, Labout AM Alun Davies said," I came to this debate very much as a lay person, I am not from an agricultural, farming, or even rural background". Now in 2011 he has been appointed as deputy minister for agriculture. He is keeping the position warm for Kirsty Williams Lib Dem AM.

What has Chris Bryant MP & David Laws MP have in common

Both used their personnal life styles to make money on their expences. Only David Laws had the book thrown at him.

Wales need a Strong Plaid Cymru

Wales need a strong Plaid Cymru, just as Scotland has a strong SNP. Why, because both the Labour party and the Conservative party has taken Wales for granted for too long. This is the reason why Scotland got a better fiancial package based on the Barnett Formula.

Fine Line between Winning & Losing

What Matt Withers (wales on Sunday) failed to mention, there is a fine line between winning and losing. Labour beat Plaid Cymru in Llanelli by 80 votes and the Liberal Democrats in Cardiff Central by 38 votes. Plaid Cymru missed out on two second seats in South Wales Central and South West Wales. So the result could have been very different with 12 Conservatives, 14 Plaid Cymru, 6 Liberal Democrats and 28 Labour. It also means it doesn't matter what damming report gets published from unemployment figures to NHS waiting lists, or that no political party can fight a negative campaign against Labour no matter how true. All Labour needs to do is put the fear of a Tory government and people will vote Labour. Last point 547,575 voters didn't believe that Labour would stand up for them. Even with a so called unpopular Con/Dem government Labour lost Scotland, while the Tories gain English council seats and AM's. The next election the people of Wales will vote on how councils provide local services and council job losses and not the Tory fear.

Plaid the True party of Wales

Despite finishing third in the recent Welsh Assembly election, Plaid Cymru is still the party of Wales. The other main parties are still controlled by their big brother parties in London, England. They use as much English donated money to fight Welsh election as Welsh money if not more. Welsh Labour is no more, it is not recorded by the Electoral commission as an accounting agent, this means all donations from Wales go into a English war chest and handed back to Wales to fight local elections. This happens because Labour nationally is in so mush debt, they use all Welsh donations to pay off interest charges. The Labour party run the government, as they run their own party on debt which is still £18.9m in debt despite effort to reduce its liabilities. Labour in Wales even discarded it's "Dragon tail" logo for the English rose.
An extract from a letter "As agreed under the new financial scheme please could you delete the following Accounting units: Association of Labour councillors, Parliamentary Labour party, Wales Labour party". Some advice to the Liberal party within the London coalition abolish the out of date Barnett Formula, you have already lost Scotland. Give Wales a fairer system, something what Labour failed to do in their 12 years of government.

Plaid Cymru to Change Name

Plaid Cymru should change its name to "Welsh National Party" (WNP) and follow the SNP in Scotland. Plaid need also to start selecting council candidates and those who are not councillors should start campaigning, those sitting councillors stepping down should be training the new ones. Plaid need to start from the roots members, councillors. There is no reason why Plaid can't regain Caerphilly, RCT and Gwynedd, then look to Carmarthen and Neath.

When did Labour last stand For Wales?

Woolworth workers and other shop and manufacturing like Burberry jobs lost. The 1984 miner strike and the fight for miners compensation. Treweryn, lost sodiers in Iraq and Afghanstan because Labour didn't supply them with better equipment. The Tory cuts to the passport office in Newport and the lifeboat rescue service for west Wales. When Labour closed many local post offices across Wales

Labour wins by Fear Tactics

Once again Labour win an election based on fear, the fear of the Tories. Labour needs a Strong Tory presence within the Welsh Assembly unlike Scotland where they can't scaremonger so easy. Their "standing up for Wales" election slogan duped the voters in thinking they are capable of protecting Wales from Tory cuts. I hope with all my heart they will be able to stick to their election promise for the people of Wales. Because one once of failure and Wales will lose its fight for life. Can they guarantee Ed Miliband would change into Tony Blair or Ed Balls into Gordon Brown.

Labour Dirty Tricks

There haven't been an election when the sad Labour party carry's out another dirty tricks campaign. Sadly this Welsh Assembly is no different. The dirty tricks by Labour would affect the people of Wales and not the other parties.

Labour candidate Alun Davies(former nationalist who once called Labour ” the valley mafia”)

You can add "bully boys" to your comment Alun. After Wayne David MP addmitted removing Plaid Cymru signs from voters gardens.

Huw Lewis and his £10,000 donation

Labour candidate for Merthyr Huw Lewis accepted a £10,000 donation from key figure in a controversial opencast mine scheme. Huw lewis was given the money towards his leadership bid by Bernard Llewellyn. Mr Llewellyn is a leading figure in Miller Argent behind Ffos-y-fran opencast mine in Merthyr. As he don't live in Merthyr but the Vale of Glamorgan he don't worry about any pollution, unlike Merthyr people. I hope the people don't forget this and vote Plaid Cymru.
